Prash Patel
Prash Patel is the co-founder and a principal of Ashwood Real Estate Partners. In this role, Prash is focused on sourcing, management, and execution of acquisition opportunities for the firm.
Prior to founding AREP, Prash was an acquisition officer for Bixby Land Company, a privately held REIT with more than 6 million square feet of real estate in California and select US markets. Prash was focused on the acquisition of both core and value-add office, R&D, and industrial properties in Orange County and San Diego.
Prior to his time at Bixby Land Company, Prash was an associate at Prudential Real Estate Investors, the global real estate investment management business of Prudential Financial, with gross assets under management of $62.6 billion. Prash focused on acquisition and asset management related activity across multifamily, retail, office, and industrial assets for a selection of investment vehicles from core and core-plus separate accounts to value-add and opportunistic closed-end funds investing both domestically and internationally.
Over his career, Prash has completed $350 M of acquisition related activity, $475 M of dispositions, and $221 M of new ground up development. Prash graduated from Rutgers Business School with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and from New York University with a Master of Science in Real Estate.
Mik Patel
Mik Patel is the co-founder and a principal of Ashwood Real Estate Partners. Mik is focused on the project management, delivery, and execution of the firm’s acquisition opportunities.
Prior to founding AREP, Mik worked as a management consultant for GEP, a global consulting company managing over $65 billion in spend for various Fortune 500 companies. As a Manager in the consulting domain, Mik was responsible for delivering strategy driven projects through stakeholder management, leading teams in formulating and executing strategic initiatives, developing pricing models, and leading negotiations. Mik has also worked as a consultant assisting with deal generation, valuation, and due diligence for real estate acquisitions for PKY Properties.
Mik graduated with dual Bachelor degrees in Finance and Management from the NYU Stern School of Business, and holds a Master’s degree from the USC Dollinger Master of Real Estate Development program.
